After over a Month mostly living in extreme conditions at around 10,000 feet in Ecuador I'm back in Richland WA. My Transcend Mini Cpap performed well, and I've grown to like the thing so much that I didn't go back to my much larger Cpap with the built in humidifier. After a month without one I realized I didn't miss the humidifier, maybe because the transcend doesn't get the musty odor that my cpap with the heated water reservoir seemed to be cursed with. Traveling was much better with my little Transcend Mini Cpap. I could and did put it in my carry on bag. I can't believe something this small works this well and costs so much less than every other Cpap I've owned. If You're looking at taking an Ecuador vacation You can read about mine and maybe get some idea's at my blog Snorkelgeek...
Sleep Apnea is a killer and can cause all sorts of health issues including, Anxiety, Depression, Arrhythmia, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, stroke, and congestive heart failure. The Transcend mini cpap has what I require for treatment in a small package.
5-16-18 I arrived in Quito elevation over 9000 feet over two weeks ago, and this Transcend Cpap is supposed to be rated for 8000 feet. So far I'm still alive and sleeping pretty well at night. I did find myself gasping for air the first few nights so I plugged into the app and turned up the pressure to max which is 20. and also turned on the EZ EX which makes it easier to exhale with the pressure cranked all the way up. Amazing something this small and cheap works this well. I'm not sure how I got by without one of these. |
