And it's the birthday of Carol Shelby (1923) who co drove an Aston Martin DBR1 to victory in Le Mans (1959) during the race he noticed the performance of the British  GT roadster built by AC cars   and later inspired by this design built the 427 AC Cobra.

Richland WA Looking West from my back Yard Christmas Day 2016. These were laid down in a matter of minutes (as I watched) on what had been a perfect blue sky. You can see where the so called "contrails"  spread out to form a haze that doesn't disperse instead appearing like a light cloud layer.

Killing all but three of her crew, and creating what may be the worlds first oil spill. The Lawson had seven masts and could carry 11,000 tons. She was poorly built, and was often compared to a bathtub. At 475' She was the largest pure sailing vessel ever built.

Give Up The Need To Be Right

My need to be right is the formula for perpetual conflict.

When I believe that I am always right, I make the rest of the world wrong if they don’t agree with me.

The probability I am always right is zero.

If I work hard at it, I may be right most of the time, but I will never be right all the time. It’s impossible and not worth the effort.

When the need to be right consumes me, I live a life of perpetual conflict.

I need to decide whether I would rather be happy or rather be right.

The world doesn’t need a critic and isn’t impressed by my commitment to righteous judgment.

The world needs my love and help rather than my judgment. When my heart is full of love, negative and judgmental thinking fades.

When I take the initiative and send love to everyone, conflict fades as well.

At the end of my life, no one will ask me how many conflicts I had or whether I won or lost all those battles. No one will ask if I was always right.

On the final judgment day, I will be judged on loving and letting go.

When I love people, conflict disappears. A heart full of love easily handles ninety-nine percent of life’s challenges and does it without conflict. It recognizes how often things are worth fighting about. The answer is almost never.

Limiting Beliefs Are A Choice Limiting thoughts are a disguised form of negation.  They are a way that I say no to life while pretending life is saying no to me.

Limitations are plausible self-deceptions. They are prefabricated excuses for every failure to be what I want to be and to do what I want to do.

No one blames me for being held back by all of the limitations I have adopted. 

Limitations are a subtle form of negativity that is socially acceptable. They don't have a bad sound or smell.  It even has the appearance of maturity to not struggle with reality and to accept the limitations that appear to be present in the world.

When I face a challenge, I write a script of limitations and possibilities based upon my beliefs about myself.

Inside my mind is a personalized collection of limiting beliefs that tell me everything I cannot do.

My limiting beliefs create confusion, and it’s easy to attribute my limitations to my world rather than to myself.

There is no reason to place limits on any worthwhile objective before I try to make it happen.

Limiting beliefs are a choice, and I choose to not have any.

It's the birthday of child silent film star Jackie Coogan (1914) who became famous acting with Charlie Chaplin in the movie, The Kid (1921). When Coogan turned 21 he sued his mom and step dad, because they'd blown the estimated 4 million dollars he'd earned. He won the case, but there was little money left. Fortunately, years later he caught a break when he became famous once again as Uncle Fester from the Adams Family.
