When on the road I try to carry my own glass water jug,(http://www.truckerjugs.com) which I fill up from drinking fountains at truck stops, roadside springs, and rest areas.  I do this because it saves me money (water is quite expensive these days)  and also because plastic containers have been shown to contain BPA a chemical used in plastics and linings for cans.  BPA has been shown to cause hormone imbalances and be a factor in heart disease and Diebetes.  Now there has been a study showing that using soup out of a can causes the BPA level to increase dramaticly.  People in the study that ate canned soup for five days had over 1000%  higher level of BPA than those that ate only soup made from scratch.  heres the link.  http://vitals.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2011/11/22/8959295-bpa-levels-soar-after-lunching-on-canned-soup
