I know I blogged about taking Cayenne Peppers as a potential Hemroid cure but after a week of taking lots of Powdered Cayenned Peppers in Lemon Juice as well as in my food I was still suffering with Hemroids. On top of that I started getting Gout like symptoms in my foot and Ankle. So I stopped taking the Cayenne. It wasn't untill I added Prunes (a handful in the morning) to my diet and started taking Magnesium Citrate (a teaspoon dissolved in water with dinner) that I stopped being constipated, stopped bleeding every time I had a B.M., and started having relief from Hemroids.
My Dream Team of Hemroid Relief. Dried Prunes and Magnesium Citrate.
As a (struggling) former smoker, I've always been interested in natural remedies. I stumbled across this website that is dedicated to the Cayenne Pepper Plant. http://www.cayennepepper.info/can-cayenne-pepper-cure-cancer.html Turns out that Cayenne Peppers and other types of peppers have been shown to cause cancer cells to commit suicide! Although this doesn't mean that you can treat or cure cancer with Cayenne Pepper it sure looks intriguing. I also found out that the author of that article was able to get rid of a bad case of hemorrhoids by drinking a tonic of cayenne pepper and lemon Juice. Hmmm! I jumped on my bike and headed to the little health food store to buy myself some cayenne pepper powder. I'm going to be trying this Cayenne Pepper Tonic for Truckers myself. I'll keep you posted how it works out. B

A recent study in England http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-15151930 found that some people with fair skin are not able to make enough Vitamin D from sunlight. Couple this with the fact that having fair skin means sun exposure puts you at risk for Cancer and some of us may want to take a Vitamin D supplement instead of sun bathing. Healthy levels of Vitamin D promotes Bone, Immune, and Colon Health. Because I live in a place that gets cold and dark in the winter as well as having fair skin, I take a multi-vitamin that has 1000 IU of Vitamin D each day. You can also ask your doctor for a blood test if you think you may be low on Vitamin D.
